MasterChef - Secture proyectos

MasterChef is a gastronomic television program that searches for the best amateur cook. The format is based on the British TV show MasterChef, which in Spain is produced by TVE.

The challenge

Due to the architecture and technical decisions of the project, the evolution of the project was quite complex. Creating new sections was quite complicated due to the large amount of dependencies that had been generated throughout the development. Updating both the Android App and the iOS app became very complex.

The solution

From Secture, we proposed a new code architecture to separate in a more logical way the layers of the application.

Thanks to this we were able to improve development time and reduce the number of errors that occurred in production.

The development

The application is built on React Native, which is a technology that allows us to shorten time and money because the same code is compiled for both iOS and Android; thus making a development for both platforms.

There was no defined architecture in the project, we incorporated an architecture based on layers to facilitate the developments made and future ones to be more stable and robust.
